FEP Tubing Clear
Description
FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) is a tough, flexible copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene often used for flexible tubing when chemical resistance, high purity, and low stiffness are required.
FEP has very similar properties to PTFE but has a lower maximum working temperature of 205°C. Also, while PTFE is not melt-processable (and so difficult to process), FEP can be processed using normal plastic methods.
Other properties of FEP include a minimum working temperature of -200°C, a low friction surface, very high resistance to chemicals and solvents, very high electrical resistance and resistance to UV radiation. FEP tubing is ideal for the transfer of extreme temperature or highly corrosive materials, including demanding lab, chemical, electrical, mechanical, pharmaceutical and automotive applications.
