Samarra is a modern take on an Indienne ‘tree of Life’ chintz print. This design has a soft painterly quality, & the bleeding colours give the design an antiqued look. It is delicately printed onto a herringbone linen base cloth of 100% linen.Inspired by the designs of south east India, in the area known as the Coromandel Coast which is acknowledged as the source of high quality chintz textiles.
